Problem

The Training Automation and Analysis Support Program (TAASP) is responsible for planning, developing, budgeting and executing strategies, programs and resources to achieve readiness for the Army National Guard (ARNG) at the Federal and state levels.  TAASP struggled to best coordinate training spending to ensure readiness goals were being met.  In particular, they lacked a cohesive strategy to determine training needs amongst the 54 states and territories and coordinate the best usage of training dollars.

Solution

MTCI supports TAASP by managing the funding of training development for all National Guard units through coordination and synchronization of training objectives. To meet overall training objectives, MTCI worked with the ARNG to identify training needs necessary to ensure appropriate staff (or strength) levels in all 54 states and territories. MTCI ensures training requirements are validated and funding is executed to meet the overall training readiness objectives for the 54 states and territories. In doing so, they conducted an analysis to determine short and long range training objectives, crafted solutions to budgetary problems, and developed funding regularity practices to improve efficiency of training requests from the 54 states and territories.
